Matthew 9

SOAP
Matthew 4

S: Scripture-Write the ONE scripture that I feel God is using to speak to me in today’s reading:

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”(Matthew 9:36-38 ESV)

O: Observation: He loves and feels “sorry” for us.  He has so much love and compassion for us.  Have you ever watched your child from afar when they are lost, or frigtening or scraed?  You have so love for them it pains you to see them “scattered”.   I know Jesus had this intense feeling of compassion but one hundred fold.  They were lost without Him.  We all are.

A: Application:

I need to see people through His eyes more.  He loves everyone, He is the Great Shepherd.  He wants to guide us and protect us.  I need to truly, always be the hands and feet.

P: Prayer:

Dear Father, The compassion you have for us, I cannot grasp.  Over and over you have saved us, shown us mercy.  Please help me to see all through your eyes, the eyes of their creator, my creator, my Abba.  Amen
