Have you heard about Pinterest? Oh WOW! Let me tell you it is wonderful, truly wonderful. My husband calls it a “visual Twitter” it is but it is so much more than that. Eye candy for everything you love, things that inspire you, things you want.
Here is what Pinterest says it is:
Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. Pinterest allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. You can browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.
People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and share their favorite recipes.
I love it. I have created boards for Homeschool stuff, kids crafts, DIY, party ideas, decorating ideas, photography, places and a ton of other things. It is a great way to bookmark all the cool ideas and inspiration you find on the web.
Ever been to a site and want to remember an idea or see a cool picture? I have! Only problem is … I never remember to go back. This is a great way to save stuff from all over the web. You create boards that work like your own personal bulletin board. On your boards you “pin” websites/pictures you love. Then they are on display for all to see.
You can follow people on Pinterest too. Once you find some things you like, start following other users and enjoy their boards! You can also “re-pin” items that others have posted.
Here are some of my favorite people to follow:
Now head on over to Pinterest, check out my boards, I have some excellent Homeschool stuff pinned as well as yummy recipes and cool photographs. Enjoy!
